Action for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Irrigation Systems (APESI Burkina) is a development association operating in Burkina Faso and the West African sub-region.

Created since 2018, APESI’s actions are part of the popularization of irrigation systems for optimal management of water consumption in the agricultural sector, in Burkina Faso and in the West African sub-region.
The association also works to promote entrepreneurship among young people and women. Indeed, it has set up a model of entrepreneurship in rural areas called ECBA (Entrepreneur Advisor of Agricultural Business). ECBAs are young agricultural entrepreneurs trained by APESI to ensure the marketing of agricultural inputs, products and equipment, training and assistance to producers for the sale of their production.
Led by René Éric SAWADOGO, with a total of 16 years of professional experience in economic and social development, with the support of his brilliant team, APESI offers quality services such as:
– installation of irrigation systems;
– the supply of solar pumping systems;
– the design of nozzle latrines.
The association thus aims to increase the yield of small and medium-sized farmers and to ensure continuous production over 2 to 3 cycles per year.
In its prospects, APESI envisages the creation of a technology center in Ouagadougou, for training and promotion of micro irrigation systems for more resilient agriculture in the face of climate change.
