The incident took place when the Hyderabad police were conducting a vehicle search in the Jubilee Hills area. Naga Chaitanya, who was traveling in a Toyota Welfare car, had black film stuck to the windshield of his car and was stopped by the police.

Following a request from Naga Chaitanya to remove the black film from the windshield, Naga Chaitanya was fined Rs. 750 by the police. Similarly, he was recently fined for violating the Junior NDR Road Traffic Rules.
