adani enterprises share price, adani group.. not even in top 10.. is this place also vacant? – Adani group yet fails to be among top 10 corporate taxpayers

When Adhanik Group Chairman Gautam Adani entered the world’s top 10 richest people, the nation celebrated him. But the tragedy is that his position did not last long. In January 2023, shares of Adani Group suffered a sharp decline in the stock market following the release of Hinderberg Research on Adani Group.

Following this, Adani also dropped from 3rd place to 30th place in the world’s top 10 richest people list. Athanik Group’s total market capitalization now stands at $123.2 billion, up from $267.1 billion on January 24.

Moreover, it will surprise even a layman that the Adani Group does not feature in the list of top 10 corporate taxpayers. But Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is the highest tax payer with $1.4 billion, overtaking Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL).

Tata Consultancy Services paid a total tax of $1.4 billion in the fiscal year ended March 2022. Adani Enterprises paid just Rs 58.3 million during the same period, according to a Quartz report citing data from various companies’ annual reports.
