Hello to the legendary singer Tryphons, I share in your sorrow. What did she die of?
“Diabetes and cancer. In the last two years she got sick, died in a nursing hospital, me and the children were by her side. It was very difficult for me after 62 years together, to get used to living without the love of my life. I love the Land of Israel and I am a great patriot. My wife lived with me in Israel for years and spoke Hebrew. I have been faithful to her all these years and my name has never been associated with any scandal, and I am proud that I stuck with the love of my life. At the beginning of April I will return to the memorial in Nicosia, where she is buried. A month and a half ago I celebrated my 79th birthday, and it saddens me to think that she will not be with me on my 80th birthday, but life is stronger than anything and I continue, there is no choice. My children live in Nicosia, and I recently had a grandson.’
How do you intend to continue your musical career?
“I will continue what I have been doing all along in the best way, the audience loves me and showers me with love, giving me reinforcements and the strength to continue.”
