(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 25 – The time-dependent emergency-urgency network works well in various Northern Regions: the first for assistance and taking charge is the autonomous province of Bolzano; positive results also in Veneto and Lombardy.
Worse performances, however, especially in the South such as in Sardinia and especially Campania, which comes last, but critical issues also exist in the Aosta Valley. This emerges from the third ‘National survey on the state of implementation of time-dependent networks’ by Agenas, presented today. The survey is conducted in 2023 by analyzing the monitoring results compared to the year 2022.
In general, waiting times are high in the majority of regions. Also worrying is the number of patients abandoning the emergency room, with high percentages in Campania, Sardinia and Sicily (over 6% of the national average).
As regards the Cardiology Network, it emerges that the three most virtuous regions are Marche, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, while at the bottom of the classification we still find southern regions such as Calabria and Sicily, but Valle d’Aosta and Sicily also appear . (HANDLE).
