Forty years after the end of the dictatorship, Argentines this Sunday elected an extreme right-wing president. Javier Milei won with 55.7% of the votes, winning over the majority of Argentines with a program in which he intends to “dismember” the State, focusing on the privatization of sectors such as health or education. “The result expresses a desire for political change” and was received with “surprise”, describes Argentine journalist Dúlio Moreno.
