Specialists from the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in the UAE have developed technology that allows you to accurately copy human handwriting. Bloomberg reports this, Day.Az reports with reference to Lenta.ru.

Scientists have created an artificial intelligence (AI) model that can imitate someone’s handwriting based on just a few paragraphs of written material. The model they developed is capable of learning the context and meaning of sequential data.

According to MBZUAI specialists, their technology can quite accurately fake the handwriting of a specific person, including the most significant unique features. The author of the study, Rao Muhammad Anwer, noted that the potential of the new tool is enormous – it will be useful both in deciphering doctors’ handwriting and in creating personalized advertising.

At the same time, scientists from the OEA note that the technology can be used by attackers. “We will have to raise public awareness and develop tools to combat counterfeiting,” said MBZUAI Associate Professor Hisham Colakkal. Scientists say they have a lot of work to do. Thus, the model has already learned to copy handwritten texts in English and French, but is not yet able to analyze text in Arabic.
