AIADMK General Secretary Slams DMK Government for Chariot Electric Shock Incident

Chennai, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami has criticized the DMK government administration for the recent incident of electric shock at the Tiruvannamalai chariot.

The incident occurred during the Tirutheer Bhavani at the famous Tiruvannamalai Arulmiku Arunachaleswarar temple, resulting in over a hundred injuries and 8 people being admitted to the Tiruvannamalai Government Hospital.

Palaniswami expressed his deep sadness at the news, highlighting that this incident was a result of administrative incompetence on the part of the DMK government. He emphasized that during such events, the power supply is normally disconnected and adequate precautions are taken, but the failure to do so in this case is a clear indication of negligence.

He also pointed out that similar accidents have occurred during the DMK government’s rule, and that he had previously urged the charity department to take appropriate precautions during such events. Despite this, the DMK government has failed to implement necessary measures to prevent such incidents from happening.

Palaniswami urged the government to wake up and take steps to avoid such accidents in the future, while also calling for proper treatment to be provided to the victims of the accident.

The statement issued by Palaniswami concluded with a plea for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident and a reminder to the DMK government to prioritize the safety of the public during such events.
