Airbus Atlantic employees fall ill after Christmas party

A spokesperson for Airbus Atlantic, a European aeronautics company, confirmed that around 100 employees fell ill after attending a company-organized Christmas party in France earlier this month. The illness was attributed to a food-borne illness contracted after eating the Christmas lunch, although the specific type of food was not disclosed.

While Airbus Atlantic stated that no serious illnesses resulted from the incident and all employees returned to work the following week, French health authorities reported a higher number of affected employees, with more than 700 believed to have experienced vomiting and diarrhea.

Airbus Atlantic, a subsidiary of Airbus employing 13,000 people across five countries and three continents, is currently cooperating with French health authorities to investigate the cause of the illness. The company reassured that the health of their employees is their primary concern and they are taking steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.

As the investigation continues, The Hill reached out to Airbus for additional comments on the matter. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
