AJK Prime Minister Rathore Promises “People’s Rule” and Focus on Employment

A new era of accessibility and responsiveness has begun in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), according to Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, who affirmed that government offices are now fully open to the public. Rathore outlined his administration’s priorities during a celebratory reception held Friday in his hometown of Mumtazabad, Forward Kahuta.

Ushering in a New Era of Governance

Rathore asserted that the change in government signifies the beginning of genuine people’s rule. He emphasized a commitment to transparency and accessibility, stating that government offices will be readily available to address citizen concerns. “Our government will prove to be a people’s government in the truest sense,” he declared.

To facilitate direct engagement with constituents, the Prime Minister announced plans to hold open courts in every constituency and city throughout AJK. These forums will be designed to swiftly address public grievances and provide immediate relief.

Prioritizing Employment and Skills Development

A central pillar of Rathore’s administration will be a focus on economic opportunity for the people of AJK. He stated that ensuring dignified employment and resolving fundamental issues facing citizens are his government’s foremost priorities.

Recognizing the importance of a skilled workforce, Rathore announced a commitment to prioritize job-oriented skills training for youth. “Skilled young people can demonstrate their abilities anywhere in the world,” he noted, underscoring the potential for AJK residents to compete in the global economy.

Investments in Education and Infrastructure

The government has already secured significant investments in the region’s future. Rathore announced the approval of a new university for the Haveli district. Furthermore, he revealed that a 5 billion rupee Danish School has been approved by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, representing a substantial boost to the region’s educational infrastructure.

Rathore expressed confidence that his government, despite its nine-month tenure, will lay the groundwork for sustained progress and earn the continued trust of the people, paving the way for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to form the next government. He also extended gratitude to the federal government for its support of AJK’s development and prosperity.

Commitment to Agreements and Regional Stability

Addressing recent developments, the Prime Minister affirmed his government’s commitment to implementing the agreement reached with the Action Committee. This pledge signals a dedication to resolving outstanding issues and fostering stability within the region.

Senior Minister Mian Abdul Waheed, along with government ministers Sardar Zia Al-Qamar and Chaudhry Qasim Majeed, and PP leader Raja Mubashir Ijaz, were also present at the reception. Speakers at the event voiced confidence in Rathore’s leadership, expressing their belief that he possesses the political acumen to navigate challenges and guide AJK towards development and progress.
