Abu Dhabi: Chance of heavy hail again today in Al Ain, UAE. Some parts of Abu Dhabi are likely to experience light to heavy rain. Two weeks ago, some parts of Al Ain were hit by hail for an hour continuously and the windows of hundreds of parked cars were shattered. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted strong winds today in Al Ain and southern areas of Al Dafra region. Following the weather forecast, the authorities have requested to take safety precautions. The NCM had earlier informed that rains will intensify in the country in the coming days. Adverse weather will occur from Wednesday, February 28 to Friday, March 1.

A resident said 500-600 cars were damaged in Al Ain’s Jahili alone. He also revealed that 100-150 cars have broken down on the street where he lives alone. An Emirati businessman said he lost Dh50 lakh as 47 cars, both old and new, were damaged.
