Al-Diwaniyah – Waa – Attributes of Al-Azzawi
The Diwaniyah team achieved its first victory in the second group competitions of the Iraqi Premier League for the season (2023-2024), by defeating the Al-Bahri team by one goal to nothing in the match that took place between them on the field of the local administration stadium in Diwaniyah.
The only goal of the match was scored by player Miqdad Saad in the 56th minute of the match, after which the Al-Bahri team launched several attacks on the Diwaniyah goal, but the Diwaniyah defense was waiting for it.
Haider Muhammad, coach of the Diwaniyah team, told the (INA): “The club’s condition depends on only emerging and young players born in (2006, 2007 and 2008) and from within the governorate due to the decisions imposed by the Iraqi Federation.”
For his part, Diwaniyah Club player Mustafa Abdullah told (INA): “We played the match and, thank God, we achieved victory in it, and the team’s performance was good despite all the technical and economic differences between the two teams.”
