Albert Mas, a key figure in the Catalan music industry, dies from Cassane

Albert Mas from Cassana, a figure of reference for understanding the music industry in Catalonia, died in Girona in the morning from Monday to Tuesday at the age of 52. But, what was son of the composer and conductor Antoni Mas i Bouhe was a music promoter occupied the management of the Association of Representatives, Promoters and Managers of Catalonia, the ARC, since 2021.

Albert Mas led his company FM Espectacles Girona for two decades, which, in addition to programming live shows, was a pioneer in offering a legal advisory service to councils linked to the management of musical events.

Apart from being the manager of the ARC, who this Tuesday defined him as “a great professional, an exceptional person and one of the main pillars of live music in Catalonia”, Mas was also member of the board of the Academy of Catalan Music.
