Video appears to show Alex Pretti days before shooting
A video appearing to show Alex Pretti spitting on a federal agent’s vehicle and kicking the taillight off a little over a week before he was shot to death by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis is spreading on social media.
The video, shot by The News Movement on Jan. 13, shows a man spitting at a vehicle driven by federal agents before kicking off the right taillight. Agents are then seen exiting the car, grabbing the man, and tackling him to the ground.
The man in the video is wearing similar attire to Pretti on the day he was shot and killed.
Pretti died on Jan. 24 after a Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officer and a Customs and Border Protection officer (CBPO) shot him several times.

DHS says Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is reviewing the video.
The attorney for the Pretti family, Steve Schleicher, released the following statement:
“A week before Alex was gunned down in the street – despite posing no threat to anyone – he was violently assaulted by a group of ICE agents. Nothing that happened a full week before could possibly have justified Alex’s killing at the hands of ICE on Jan 24.”
