Since his election as president of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye continues to receive congratulatory messages. It is in this sense that Alpha Condé sent his congratulations to Macky Sall’s successor.

From Turkey where he resides, the former Guinean president, in his name, that of Guinea and African progressives, welcomed the victory of candidate Pastef.

“On the occasion of your brilliant election to the supreme office of our sister country, Senegal, I am particularly pleased to send you my sincere congratulations. I salute the victory of your team in my personal name, that of the people of Guinea and all the progressives of the continent who aspire to a free, united and fraternal Africa. An Africa capable of taking its destiny in hand and willing to defend its national sovereignty, against all external interference which today threatens its economic and social development,” underlined Professor Alpha Condé.

For the former Guinean Head of State, the accession to the presidency of the ”Young” Diomaye Faye, aged 44, is an example of progress for Africa.

“The result of this free and transparent ballot, which offers the supreme office to an enlightened youth, symbol of our common future, is an example of progress for all of Africa. This inclusive election, far removed from the specter of political violence, is the translation of our attachment to the political legitimacy of power, to the constitutional and democratic order. As well as respect for public freedoms and social justice conducive to the emergence of a sovereign Africa, concerned with its own interests,” reacted the president of RPG Arc-en-ciel before wishing him every success in the exercise of his future function as president of Senegal.

“Wishing you every success in carrying out the mandate that the Senegalese people have just entrusted to you, I ask you to welcome the support of all citizens who love peace and justice. Hoping that this experience educates each of our living forces to the idea that: people must only be governed by those they have freely chosen”
