In this situation, the 3rd largest telecom company, Vodafone Idea, has not made any announcement about its 5G service. But the company has said that the 5G service will be provided soon without specifying any date. According to reports, Vi (Vi) is facing financial problems. India will be ready to roll out 5G services once the financial issues are resolved. 5G delays are said to affect VI’s customers.
Speaking at last year’s AGM, Vodafone Idea MD and CEO Ravinder Thakkar said, “We are ready to offer 5G services in India. Let’s participate in the 5G auction. However, there is a need to develop India’s 5G use cases. India is unique, what is used in other countries cannot be used here,” he said.
Currently, the company is working on providing 5G services soon. Vodafone Idea 5G is also expected to introduce a 5G recharge plan during the launch. So far no company has announced a 5G recharge plan. 5G is used in 4G plan.
Phone companies including Apple and Samsung are going to release updates for using 5G in the months of November and December. Currently, Airtel 5G Plus is in use in 8 cities. Services are provided in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and Varanasi. Reliance Jio (Jio True 5G) is offered in 4 cities namely Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi and Kolkata.
