In Shanghai, China’s business capital, which has been paralyzed by corona for the past few weeks, another 48 people have died from the disease.
Officials said:
In the last 24 hours 48 corona patients died due to that disease. They are all from Shanghai. In addition, the country’s total corona death toll rose to 4,876.
Corona confirmed 1,818 newcomers across the country. 1,606 of them live in Shanghai. However, the number of daily corona infections in the city continues to decline, officials said.
Meanwhile, the city is on high alert as the number of social outbreaks in Beijing, the capital, has skyrocketed. Therefore, there are fears that a general freeze may be imposed there as well.
