Twenty-three years ago, Alsou performed at Eurovision. Then the singer for the first time in the history of the show brought Russia a high second place. Neither Alla Pugacheva nor Philip Kirkorov, who represented our country in other years, could achieve such a result. As it became known to MK, the star is offered to participate in Eurovision again. But she no longer wants to participate in the competition. Despite even the persuasion of Philip Kirkorov.
– No, I won’t go again, – says the artist. – I was persuaded many times. Even Philip Bedrosovich, as the main producer of Eurovision, said: “Come on, let’s go. Let’s make you a great song.” I answered him: “Philip, I’m not ready.”
The artist believes that she demonstrated all her abilities at the competition. And to do it once again does not consider it necessary.
“Second place is a great result,” the artist continues. – At that moment almost a victory. It was the first highest place in the history of our country. It is unlikely that I will be able to outdo myself. And to take a place below … Why?
At the same time, Alsou has a negative attitude to the fact that recently the competition has become politicized and participants from Russia do not take part in it.
– I can’t comment on all political issues, – says the singer. – But I think that, of course, music should not be influenced by the situation in the world that is happening now. Music heals souls, unites people. So it was and so it will always be.
