Amazon Launches Two New Bee AI Devices Starting At $75

Amazon expanded its personal artificial intelligence lineup on October 15, 2026, by launching the $74.99 Bee Frontier wearable and the $99.99 Bee Eclipse credit-card-sized smartphone attachment, alongside a new $11.99 monthly Bee Pro subscription that introduces optional shopping integrations with Amazon.com.

The tech giant acquired San Francisco startup Bee in July 2025 for an undisclosed amount, inheriting a device that previously retailed for $50 as an always-listening bracelet. The hardware refresh marks Amazon’s first major push into dedicated ambient AI hardware under its own ownership (Techcrunch), positioning the new devices directly against competing note-taking gadgets while introducing deeper ecosystem connections (BigGo Finance).

Hardware Specifications and Pricing for Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse

The Bee Frontier is an updated version of the original bracelet that can be worn on the wrist or pinned to clothing. It features upgraded dual microphones with enhanced noise filtering designed to take note of what matters and ignore background chatter even in noisy environments like a crowded restaurant or open office.

Priced at $74.99, the Frontier comes with an IP67 water resistance rating capable of withstanding immersion in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes (BigGo Finance), an improvement over its predecessor. It offers up to seven days of battery life on a single charge and is available now on Amazon in Onyx, Lavender, and Sage colors.

The Bee Eclipse takes a non-wearable, professional approach. Shaped like a credit card and measuring 4.6mm thin, it attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone using MagSafe compatibility or an included metal ring (Unite.AI). Because of its larger chassis, the Eclipse houses a bigger battery that delivers more than 21 days of power on a single charge ($99.99, coming soon in black, pink, yellow, and silver).

Subscription Tiers and Optional Shopping Integration

Both devices function out of the box with a free tier that provides conversation summaries, recaps, and 14 days of memory history. Amazon also introduced a Bee Pro subscription for $11.99 a month (or $99.99 annually) (Unite.AI), which unlocks unlimited summaries, suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant, conversation templates, a desktop app, and third-party app integrations including Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook (India Today).

The Pro tier includes an opt-in integration with Amazon.com and Alexa+. When enabled, the device can turn casual remarks into shopping suggestions on Amazon.com and in the Bee mobile and desktop apps if a user mentions running out of an item like dish soap. Users can also connect Bee to an Echo device, allowing Voice ID to recognize who is speaking and provide hands-free access to summaries via Alexa+.

Privacy Controls and Data Security Architecture

Always-listening hardware faces intense scrutiny over surveillance concerns amid a broader industry reckoning. In response, Amazon emphasized that Bee devices utilize a private computing security architecture where no audio is ever stored, as explained by the company.

Audio is processed in real time and deleted immediately after generating transcripts and summaries. Transcripts are encrypted using keys created and controlled entirely by the user’s device so that

Market Competition and Unresolved Availability Details

Amazon enters a crowded sector for AI note-taking devices and wearables (BigGo Finance). Rivals include Praud’s card-shaped recorders priced at $159 and $189 for the Note Pro, Pocket’s $129 device , Friend’s AI necklace, and Meta’s smart glasses and Muse Charm pendant . At $75 and $100 (BigGo Finance), Bee undercuts several competitors on hardware cost while requiring a monthly subscription for advanced features.

While the Bee Frontier is available immediately on Amazon.com, Amazon has not provided a specific calendar date for the release of the Bee Eclipse (BigGo Finance), noting only that it will launch soon following the Frontier.
