Six stuntmen have been injured after an accident during the filming of an action scene for the sequel to Gladiator, directed by Ridley Scott, and which was being recorded this Wednesday in Morocco.

“While filming a planned stunt sequence on the set of the Gladiator sequel, an accident occurred during which several crew members sustained non-life-threatening injuries,” a spokesperson for Paramount Pictures, the studio behind, said. of the film, in a statement collected by the American magazine Variety.

He added that “the security teams and full medical services on site were able to act quickly so that those affected received the necessary care immediately. All are in stable condition and continue to receive treatment.”

The accident, which occurred towards the end of the shooting day, did not leave any cast member injured and four of those affected remain in the hospital and the other two were only treated for burns.

“The well-being of the cast and crew is of the utmost importance to us, and we have strict health and safety procedures in place in all of our productions. We will continue to monitor the situation and take all necessary precautions as we resume production,” the spokesperson explained. .
