On August 1, a rare astronomical phenomenon will be observed in Moscow

Supermoon – occurs when the full moon and new moon coincide with the closest approach of the Earth and the Moon. In August, in the capital of Russia, it can be observed twice – on the 1st and 30th.

Amateur astronomer Anton Tkachenko told MK that binoculars would be enough for a person with good eyesight to see all the details of the Earth’s satellite. The weather also contributes to this – the clouds have fled. People interested in astronomy can search on the Internet where the Moscow Astronomical Club will install their telescopes and come to see this beauty for free.

– Anton, will the supermoon somehow affect the well-being of Muscovites, for example, hypertensive patients?

– The moon will not affect people with this disease. Rather, it will affect citizens suffering from mental disorders. This category of people becomes more irritated and nervous. On the one hand, this phenomenon is very beautiful – on the other, quite dangerous.
