An app that turns an iPhone into an iPod

by time news

While most people opt for a sleek new iPhone, some are trying to make their phones look like an iPod classic.
The iPod, first launched 22 years ago, remains one of Apple’s most successful products, revolutionizing the way we listen to music.

And while the product was discontinued last year, app creators are trying to find ways to make sure we can still access the iPod home screen when we’re feeling nostalgic.
And Elie Awesome Technology announced, in a video on TikTok, a way to convert an iPhone into an iPod to listen to music, using an app called RetroPod from the Apple Store.
The app switches the screen to the iPod Classic home page, with four options appearing on the home screen: Shuffle Play, Music, Settings, and Now Playing, and you can adjust the volume using the scroll wheel by tapping on it.

After the news that the iPods would no longer be sold, there was a huge spike in demand for the devices on eBay, with some people offering over $6,500, in some cases, to buy the item.
