The event, organized by theCodina consultancy and its digital strategy service ElGyroscopeswas held this past Thursday at the Research and Innovation Park of the University of Girona and they split up 3,000 euros in prizes. Alejandro Ogando, one of the promoters of the project, explains that it has been designed with a “simple, intuitive browsing experience that is presented as a game”. The proposal is just being developed and is scheduled to be launched in June 2024.

Among the three finalist projects is Floueri, one online shop for dried and preserved flowers which its founder presented: Annabel Teixidó. The project markets sustainable plants because “the consumption of water that needs to be used to make them is reduced when compared to natural flowers”. Currently, it has a catalog with 60 varieties and 8 colors available.

Another of the nominees has been Proasis, from Fernando Calpewhich works with natural ingredients, of high quality and with an important nutritional contribution to offer ice cream rich in protein and probiotics. Its catalog, currently made up of five flavors (chocolate ice cream with Belgian chocolate sparkles, Madagascar vanilla with caramel, Alphonso mango, stracciatella with Belgian cocoa pieces and yogurt with blackberries and blueberries), will be expanded from the month of January next year with yogurts (to eat with a spoon and to drink), cream cheese spreads and chocolates, among others.

The batch of aspirants has closed it Albert Rock, who talked about Evertia. This initiative was launched at the beginning of this year and proposes vertical gardens unique for decorating interiors and exteriors from an installation that allows you to make much more use of the space. The product “is easy to assemble, is made in Europe with fully recycled plastic and comes with a semi-automatic irrigation system.” The company works to reach a market of around 300 million people.

The Mostra d’Empreneurs de Girona also had two presentations to present real cases of success based on innovative projects. Jordi Corominas is the CEO and co-founder of Additio, a pioneering company in the development of digital tools for education. After the two presentations and the presentations of the four projects, the attendees networked with the aim of improving ties between established businessmen and entrepreneurs in the area. This Thursday’s event was attended by Sergi Font, 5th lieutenant of the mayor and councilor for Resource Management and Attention to Citizens of Girona City Council. The organizers emphasized “the high quality of all the projects presented”, as reflected by the public vote, which this year was widely distributed.

In the previous edition, the Tensor Medical project was awarded by popular vote. It is a spin-off (a business initiative promoted by members of the university community) of the University of Girona and the Vall d’Hebron Hospital Research Institute, which improves the quality of life of patients with sclerosis multiple from artificial intelligence. Other winners from previous years have been Ekko WC, an ecological toilet project; MJN Neuroservices, working on a device to detect epileptic seizures; Nordic Walking, Llagurt, Wikiloc, iloftyou and Codiwise, among others.
