An Egyptian-Russian agreement to continue coordination to find a solution to the Libyan crisis

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov focused, during his talks with Egyptian Foreign Ministry officials and members of the Egyptian Parliament, on the importance of finding a solution to the crises in Libya, according to what was published by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting held Sunday in Cairo, the two sides also stressed the need for continued bilateral coordination between Russia and Egypt regarding the situation around hotspots in the Middle East and North Africa, especially in Libya, Syria and Yemen, as well as files of common interest between the two countries in the fields of investment, energy, agriculture and industry.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to preparations for the second Russia-Africa summit in July 2023 in St. Petersburg, which is aimed at identifying an additional vector for the comprehensive progressive development of Russia’s multifaceted interaction with African countries.
