Officers of the 1st platoon of the 2nd platoon of the Syunik Marz patrol battalion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Police noticed an “Opel Zafira” car parked in the administrative area of Ishkhanasar village on January 12 at around 9:00 a.m., and a firearm with bullets attached to the trunk was clearly seen in its interior. The driver informed the patrols that in the cabin of the car there was a single-barreled 20 mm hunting rifle and 19 bullets of the same caliber.
He also stated that the gun and bullets belonged to the late grandfather, and after his death, since 2005, he managed it.
The 33-year-old driver, a resident of Sisian city, was arrested and taken to the Goris police department, and his Opel Zafira car, along with weapons and ammunition, was taken to a special area guarded by the department.
The compiled documents were sent to Sisian’s investigative department.
