The Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office recently (Friday) filed an indictment in the city district court against Ahmad Nasla (24), an Arab resident of Shuafat from East Jerusalem, for two attempts to murder Jews in the village of Hizma about two weeks ago.

According to the indictment, the Arab decided to carry out a murderous attack by slitting the neck of a random Jew. Meanwhile, he arrived in the village of Hizma about two weeks ago with a knife, so he went behind one of the complainants who was near the store on the spot, began to slit his throat and threw an iron bar at him, which hit the store owner who tried to stop him.

The next day he returned to the village of Hizma equipped with another knife, then went to another complainant who was staying near the grocery store, made sure he was not an Arab and began to slit his throat. The complainant tried to defend himself and at the same time the owner of the grocery store went out towards him and as a result the defendant fled the scene. As a result of the defendant’s actions, the complainants required medical treatment.

The indictment attributes to the defendant the commission of an offense of a terrorist act of attempted murder. The prosecution is asking the court to order the detention of the accused until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
