Without realizing it, CES 2022 is behind us, and it’s time for the start of the smartphone launch season that will accompany us throughout 2022. Exynos 2200, which will stand behind its new flagship devices. Everything was ready – Samsung tweeted, the leaks started coming out, and we were supposed to get the official exposure. But one thing was missing at the event – Samsung itself, because it simply blew the whistle from the event.
An intriguing processor, but not sure we’ll see it soon
On December 30, Samsung posted a tweet to its official account in which under the headline “Playtime is Over” the company wrote that the next Exynos is about to be unveiled on January 11, 2022. The video received several million views, and indeed there is reason to be excited: it is one of the first mobile processor in the world They will come with an AMD RDNA 2 graphics processor, which is the architecture responsible for, among other things, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X graphics processor – so it may become a highly adapted processor for gamers and heavy use. Definitely something to look forward to.
But we expected in vain, because this event just did not take place. If all that wasn’t enough, Samsung began by concealing a strange piece of evidence when it deleted the original tweet, not even informing reporters that it was canceling or postponing the exposure incident. In light of the fact that Samsung also did not respond to the issue, it remains for us to listen to the leaks, some of which even claim that the Galaxy S22 series will also be launched in Europe with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Will the home processor beat Qualcomm’s processor?
Samsung’s flagship devices have received a lot of criticism (even from us) over the years that in key markets, Korea and the United States, they come with the latest Snapdragon processors and enjoy great performance and battery life, while in Israel and the rest of the world they come with homemade Exynos processors, which are usually Suffer from technological inferiority to Qualcomm processors. This year this picture has changed a bit with the S21 series which turned out to be excellent despite the different processor, but still, we too would like to see the flagship processors in Samsung’s flagship devices. Another leaker named Ice Universe claimed a full day before the incident that was not, that Samsung will postpone the release of the Exynos 2200. He was not wrong, but the reason for the postponement and its results are still unclear.
This is a particularly rare case where a company simply winds up from its own event (even if it is virtual) without any prior warning or explanation. Currently, the unveiling event of the Galaxy S22 series is scheduled for February 8th. That is, if Samsung does not decide to do all of us hosting again. We will know which processors will be waiting for us inside the new flagship devices, and whether we are really facing an end to the split that annoys many Galaxy fans.
