In addition to the local candidates, a Gulf businessman has also filed his nomination papers, indicating a diverse pool of contenders vying for positions on the board. The Election Supervisory Committee will now begin the process of scrutinizing the nomination papers to ensure that all candidates meet the necessary conditions and requirements.

One of the key conditions for candidates is that they must have at least ten years of experience in the business sector, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of experience. Other requirements include the Chamber subscription being duly paid, the commercial registration being in force for at least three years prior to the submission of nomination papers, and not being a member of the Board of Directors of another Chamber of Commerce.

Additionally, candidates must not be related to any of the other candidates running for the board, to ensure fairness and impartiality in the election process. Once the Election Supervisory Committee has completed their review, the final list of candidates will be announced within the coming days, followed by the announcement of the election date.

This marks an important moment for the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce as it looks to diversify its leadership and continue to support and promote business development in the region. With a diverse range of candidates, including a significant number of women, the upcoming elections are sure to bring about a new era of leadership for the Chamber.
