Calendario did not have an easy time reaching its final season due to the massive departure from the country of a good part of its actors. Now it was the turn of Jomy Marull Almaguer, who settled in the United States, specifically in Florida, where other actors and actresses from the popular Cuban series already live.

Marull plays the role of Gustavo in Calendario, a character who stands out negatively among the students because he is characterized by engaging in business illegally, a practice instilled by his mother according to what is shown on screen.

The character reflects the typical cases of students in Cuban schools who support their lives on this type of business with products they bring from their trips abroad to resell. However, Gustavo is not a character built in black and white, the nuances with which the plot that accompanies him is developed outline well all the traits that identify him, with the contradictions and virtues of him like any other student in the series.

With the departure of Marull there are now 14 actors in this drama who are leaving Cuba. The filmmakers themselves have revealed that after the massive migration of these young acting figures they have had to reinvent themselves.

The series had to “rebuild conflicts, adventures, and give stories that were for other characters, to those who were available. An attempt was made, above all, to ensure that those inevitable seams of the script did not absorb the plot, and that the story of Amalia and her boys continued with the same organicity and freshness as always,” said the Cuban television portal.

Homero Saker (Maykel), Liliana Sosa (Beatriz), Frank Daniel Martínez (Vladimir), Jennifer Pupo (Natalia) Amalia Gaute (Yaima) Paula Massola (Maritza) Omar Rolando (Bruno) Víctor Cruz (Javier), Saray Vargas (Odalis) , Ernesto Codner (Orestes), Odelmys Torres (Cecilia), Anel Perdomo (Melisa) are other actors and actresses in this space who left Cuba to reside in other countries or initially to pursue higher education. The majority have settled in the United States or Spain.
