Antutu V11 Benchmarks Reveal Performance Gains for iPhone 17 Pro and M5 iPad Pro
The widely-respected Antutu benchmark program has released its V11 version for iOS and iPadOS, offering a more comprehensive evaluation of mobile device performance, including new tests for AI capabilities. The update, arriving over four months after the Android release, provides a fresh look at the processing power of Apple’s latest hardware.
The V11 version of Antutu is now available for upgrade, introducing CPU AI calculations, storage AI large model reading, and testing scenarios designed to mimic real-world office and multimedia applications. This expanded testing suite aims to provide a more holistic view of device performance beyond traditional metrics.
Testing conducted with a 512GB iPhone 17 Pro yielded an overall score of 2,519,946, with a storage test score of 125,410. Meanwhile, the 512GB M5 iPad Pro 11-inch achieved an impressive score of 3,860,047, accompanied by a storage test score of 200,879.
These scores represent a significant jump compared to previous generations. According to data recently shared by Antutu on its official Weibo account, the iPhone 17 Pro’s average score in the V10 version was 2,399,382 – an increase of over 100,000 points with the V11 update.
The M5 iPad Pro 11-inch experienced even more substantial gains, boasting an average score exceeding 600,000 points higher than its V10 score of 3,194,264. This improvement is largely attributed to the powerful computing and AI performance of the M5 chip.
However, one analyst noted that direct comparisons between iOS and Android benchmark scores should be viewed with caution. “Considering the inherent differences in hardware architectures and scoring methodologies between the two platforms, cross-platform score comparisons offer limited practical value,” the analyst explained. Despite this caveat, the addition of comprehensive AI testing in V11 suggests the M5 iPad Pro is poised to further extend its performance lead over previous iPad models.
