After updating to iOS 17.4, some users began to complain about a significant increase in battery consumption on their iPhone. In some cases, smartphones were discharged by 40% in just two hours, the Daily Mail reports, Day.Az reports with reference to Gazeta.ru.

In addition to complaints about abnormal battery consumption, some iPhone owners complained about problems with charging their devices after the update. For example, one iPhone 11 Pro user noted that charging from 40% to 94% took him more than four hours.

Experts believe that the problem may be temporary and will resolve on its own. In some cases, it is recommended to restart your device and update all applications. To track battery usage, users can go to the Battery section in Settings, which provides detailed information about how charge is distributed between apps. If you identify applications with abnormally high energy consumption, we recommend updating, closing, or deleting them.

The iOS 17.4 update also introduces new battery health tracking, including number of charge cycles, date of manufacture, and time of first use. The update became available on March 5th. It introduced support for third-party application stores and much more to Apple gadgets for EU countries.
