Apple Launches Red Color Option for Watch Series 9 in Support of World HIV Day
In honor of World HIV Day, Apple has unveiled a new addition to its Watch Series 9 lineup, introducing a vibrant red color option. The new watch features a red aluminum casing with a matching red sports strap, and is powered by the new S9 SiP processor.
The Watch Series 9 boasts health, fitness, and safety capabilities, along with the new double-click gesture and the Precision Finding feature for the iPhone. In addition to the red color option, the Palette and Solar Analog watch faces are also available in red, joining a range of watch faces dedicated to celebrating World HIV Day.
In support of the cause, Apple has made a variety of (RED) products available for purchase, including the Watch Series 9, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE, as well as accessories like a silicone case with MagSafe feature for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 collections. These products can be ordered through physical stores and the company’s online store.
Since 2006, Apple has been in partnership with the (RED) organization to support the Global Fund to Fight HIV. The company directs a portion of the proceeds from select in-app purchases and (RED) product sales to the Global Fund, which uses 100 percent of Apple’s contribution to finance programs to combat HIV in sub-Saharan Africa.
Through its continued support for World HIV Day and ongoing partnership with (RED), Apple demonstrates its commitment to making a positive impact in the fight against HIV.
