Chennai, India: The district level sports competitions organized by the School Education Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu are in full swing. The latest event was a football match held at Nehru Sports Hall in Periyamed, where more than 30 teams participated.
The matches were conducted in knock-out mode, adding excitement and intensity to the games. In the quarter-finals, Semmancheri Jappiyar and Anna Nagar Government School faced off, with Jappiyar emerging victorious with a score of 2 – 0, securing their spot in the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals, Mukhabar Velammal and Jappiyar clashed in a lively match, with Jappiyar once again coming out on top with a score of 3 – 0.
The final match saw Perambur Donbasco go up against Jappiyar in a highly competitive game. In the end, with a score of 2 – 0, Jappiyar emerged as the champions, securing their place in the Republic Day tournament.
The team’s impressive performance has earned them a spot in the Republic Day tournament, where they will have the opportunity to compete at an even higher level.
