One of Apple’s interesting and intriguing projects is called Titan And it is related to the automobile industry and Apple’s electric vehicle. As of today, there is no accurate information about the vehicle and many rely on patent applications that Apple issues, from which they manage to try and understand what goes through Apple’s mind and how the vehicle will look.
Last month Apple published 2 new patent applications concerning the table and the car windows. Just a reminder that not every patent application turns into a finished product at the end of the process. Many of the requests end their lives as requests only without reaching real production.

In the first request, we see that Apple is interested in a table that will be placed in the car at the back, between the passengers. The style is simple and reminiscent of the tables we know from train cars for example. A table next to which several passengers can sit from each side and between whom the table will be placed.
As part of the table, Apple is examining options for the placement of drinking cups, similar to the cup holders we know that exist for the driver and the passenger next to him.
Apple’s patent notes that passengers may benefit from convenient places to place and/or secure objects, such as a drinking glass. The invention is directed to a table configured for use inside the interior of a vehicle, such as inside the passenger compartment of a van or shuttle vehicle. The table includes features that allow the object to be used while traveling. The table may also be configured so that the features are usable by multiple passengers located throughout the cabin.
Beyond the table that Apple wants to have in its vehicle, another patent application is revealed in which we learn about display screens in the panels of the vehicle. Apple wants to turn the unused area of the car windows and use them as display screens. According to the disclosed patent application, Apple wants to embed computer screens in the car windows when they are closed. The computer screens will be able to show the passengers relevant information about the trip and/or to project entertainment media for the passengers of the vehicle.

Apple’s two patent applications do not innovate anything, since we have already seen concept vehicles in the past that come with exactly the same characteristics. Take for example the Volvo 360c concept car that shows us exactly what Apple’s patents will look like, more or less.
