jpnn.comJAKARTA – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno expressed his appreciation to the Acting Regent of Klungkung I Nyoman Jendrika for the successful implementation of the Semarapura Festival.

“I really appreciate the people of Klungkung for holding the Semarapura Festival. Klungkung should be proud because this event is one of the best in Indonesia. Visitors flocked to the city streets with great joy,” said Sandiaga Uno when met after the festival, Friday (3/ 5).

From the data recorded during the 4 days of implementation, the Semarapura Festival succeeded in attracting a total of up to 250 thousand visitors, meaning there were approximately 62 thousand visitors per day.

MSME turnover is up to IDR 2.3 billion, meaning that each MSME has a turnover of up to IDR 5.3 million per day or IDR 21 million during the festival.

“Come on, visitors, let’s be rojali, aka a group, so buy and don’t be a rojali, aka a group just looking. Buying goods from MSMEs can open up business opportunities and jobs, and move the economy up to 2 billion,” said Sandiaga Uno.

This year’s Semarapura Festival has featured cultural attractions involving nearly 1,500 artists. Starting from Lawang Balingkang Dance, Solah Barong Sebarung, Gong Kebyar, collaboration of Barong and Barong Sai Dances, Grand Final Jegeg Bagus and fashion shows.

This festival also presents the work of 110 craftsmen and exhibitions of 105 MSMEs ranging from culinary, fashion and handicrafts with a total of 120 stands.

The festival was also enlivened by national singer and musician Marcello Tahitoe alias Ello as the main guest star.
