Riyadh: The Arab League has foiled a drone strike by Houthis in Yemen targeting the Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia’s official news agency says two drones have crashed at the airport.

The coalition said the attack targeted passengers at the airport and that the drones had taken off from Sanaa airport in Yemen. The coalition said in a statement that Houthi rebels were using Sanaa International Airport as a base for cross – border attacks. On Sunday, a Houthi drone strike also targeted Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia. This too was destroyed by the Arab League before reaching its destination.
