The Republic of Armenia was appointed a member of the General Committee within the framework of the 75th World Health Assembly.

The ministry informs that Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Health, who is in Geneva on a 7-day official visit, heads the delegation of Armenia.

The main committee consists of 25 members.

The Committee, in consultation with the Director General, performs the following functions:

decides the time and place of all plenary sessions, main committee sessions and all committee sessions during the session,

determines the order of work of each plenary session during the session,

Proposes agenda items to the Health Assembly,

if necessary, transfers the further agenda items assigned to the committees from one committee to another,

reports on additions to the agenda,

coordinates the work of the main and all committees,

determines the adjournment of the session,

otherwise contributes to the regular implementation of the work of the session.
