Artificial crater created on the Moon

NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) space probe has captured what appears to be a recently excavated artificial crater on the lunar surface.

In the photograph, an arrow points to the crater.

Everything indicates that the crater was excavated by the Russian space probe Luna-25 when it crashed into lunar soil after suffering a serious technical problem.

The new crater measures about 10 meters in diameter. It is located at 57.865 degrees south latitude and 61.360 degrees east longitude. (Source: NCYT from Amazings)
