Assad: His first statements – “I did not think of leaving the country or resigning”

It was the former president of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, who made the first official statements after his fall.

According to the Russian news agency Tass, Assad said he had never thought of resigning or leaving the country despite the incidents.

As he said, he stayed in Damascus until the morning of December 8 and left the country the same evening.

Moscow announced its statements on the Telegram channel of the Syrian presidency and they are dated December 16.
