Women’s Asvel, reigning French basketball champion, fell on the first day of the season, beaten on the Roche Vendée field (66-58) on Saturday.

The Lyonnaises were deprived of most of their French internationals (Chartereau, Gruda, Williams, Johannès) with the exception of Helena Ciak and Marine Fauthoux, her team’s top scorer (17 pts but 8 lost balls).
