RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan considers it impossible to return forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh to their homeland.
“Recent events show that, at least in the near future, it is impossible for Armenians to return to Stepanakert, Shushi or those settlements that were historically Armenian,” he told reporters.
According to Simonyan, it is necessary to build peace, excluding hate speech, the policy of ethnic cleansing of people.
The Speaker of the National Assembly considers Azerbaijan’s attempts to erase the Armenian trace and Armenian history unacceptable.
“They will not succeed,” he said.
He mentioned that there is an accusation against Armenia as well, that they allegedly did such actions.
“I don’t want to get into such a debate, I want you to use history to build the future. I know that Azerbaijan is slowly following everything that is said, all the statements, I would like them to draw attention to this. “It’s enough, we need to pause, we need to talk about the future,” Simonyan said.
