At the First Group Football Championship held in Sisian, RA, the “Mountain Artsakh” football team won the title of RA champion by defeating “Gandzasar-2” with a score of 4-1, reports the Artsakh Ministry of Education and Culture.
On May 9, named after Stepan Shahumyan of Stepanakert. Anahit Hakobyan, the Minister of Sports and Sports, representatives of the sports world, and football fans came to welcome the athletes at the republican stadium.
“We had 26 matches, 22 of which ended with the victory of “Mountain Artsakh”. Being ahead of the participating teams with 69 points, our team became the champion of the first league Before Time. We have been preparing for the championship since the summer. We invited experienced players, participated in sports gatherings, played with top teams. As a result, we are celebrating a victory today,” says Artashes Adamyan, head coach of the team.
The goalkeeper of the team, Sergey Asryan, assures that there are no accidental successes in football. “We managed to register a victory as a result of united and hard work. Taking a step forward every year, we had a team that was able to record such a victory today.”
The victory of the RA First Group Championship will give our team the opportunity to participate in the Armenian Premier League.
The students of the “Balyk of Artsakh” ensemble of the Charles Aznavour cultural center of Stepanakert came to welcome the champions with song and dance.
