While the NBA teams continue to face the corona plague plaguing the league, the festive Christmas games continued as normal as the Miami Heat defeated Orlando Magic 83-93 tonight (Sunday), missing no fewer than 11 squad players missing due to injuries. And entry into the Corona Protocol.
Both teams played a very aggressive game and scored a low percentage. The first quarter was close throughout and at the end the visitors went down with a small advantage of 22:24. The Heat tightened the defense in the second quarter and managed to turn the score on the way to a three-point lead in the break. In the third quarter Miami found its offensive pace and thanks to 30 points entered the decisive quarter with a double-digit advantage.
The Magic had a hard time finding the ring even in the fourth quarter and the hosts took advantage of that to secure a victory in the Florida Derby. Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin led the hit list with 17 points each en route to Miami’s No. 21 win of the season against 13 losses.
