Through the new Mobilize brand, Renault is taking a step forward, becoming a mobility provider beyond just selling cars. The new brand will have its own range of vehicles. The first of these is the Mobilize Limo, a 100% electric five-door sedan, intended for taxi drivers and VTC fleets, which will have the city of Madrid as its first destination. It will work through the subscription system, with an initial fleet of 40 vehicles for the Cabify service. The offer will be in Paris this fall before rolling out to other European cities in the coming months.
Before their official premiere, we have already had the opportunity to test these vehicles during their international presentation held in Madrid.
With a first conclusion: it is a car that could perfectly be available to the general public, since due to its characteristics and benefits it would fit perfectly into the needs of private drivers.
But not. The Limo will not be for sale, and it will also only be available to professional taxi drivers and VTC fleets. Its autonomy of 450 kilometers WLTP is enough to cover the average daily mileage of 250 to 300 kilometers in a working day. Thanks to its 100% electric motorization with no polluting emissions in use, it is not subject to any restrictions on access to city centers.
The car moves thanks to a 100% electric motor of 118 kW, that is, 160 CV that offers 225 Nm of torque. It has three driving modes, Sport. Eco and Normal, and three retention levels with which to recover battery charge while braking.
AC loads (at 7.4 and 11 kW) and DC in series allow recovery times compatible with the activity of the conductors:
• 250 km recovered in 40 minutes on a fast DC charge, the time it takes to pause
• 100% charge in 10-12h on 7kW AC fast charge from on-board charger, lasting one night
• 100% charge in 7-8h on 11kW AC fast charge from on-board charger
With a total weight of only 1,610 kg and the use of a heat pump for thermal comfort in the cabin, they contribute to the good energy performance of the Limo.
The 160 hp move a vehicle with ease, even on motorway and highway sections, although these are not going to be their most common “territories”.
Inside, the first impression is good, with very correct finishes, a clean and pleasant design, and with comfortable seats. The rear seats have a 288-millimeter radius around the knees, and passengers have access to control the radio and audio system. The driver has two large screens of 10.2 and 12.3 inches, with a multimedia system compatible with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. It is also a connected vehicle, which facilitates control and monitoring for fleet management. The trunk has 500 liters to accommodate the luggage of travelers.
On the aesthetic level, the TEP upholstery (an artificial leather) is pleasant to the touch, resistant and easy to clean. Gray aluminum and carbon fiber appliqués, as well as LED ambient lights dress the cabin with elegance. Mobilize Limo is guaranteed for 6 years or 300,000 km (whichever comes first).

The first units will arrive to join the Cabify fleet, but once the homologation procedures have been passed in the Madrid and Barcelona City Councils, the car will also be available, through the subscription system, for taxi professionals. From the brand they have not provided the rates, since these will depend on the duration of the contract and the number of kilometers contracted.
The “all-inclusive” subscription allows flexibility in terms of duration and cost control: the guaranteed vehicle while the contract is in force, comprehensive insurance, including roadside assistance, maintenance, wear parts (including tires) and a recharge card.
Mobilize Driver Solutions offers a high-end service for professionals so that each procedure or need is managed by a single interlocutor. Maintenance operations are accessed with a scheduled appointment in less than 48 hours in specific workshops where attention is a priority. A prediagnosis of the vehicle is established in 30 minutes. Everything is designed to give visibility and minimize the immobilization of the vehicle.
For VTC and taxi drivers, the offer is made up of subscriptions lasting from 3 months to 3 years with a mileage option. The online subscription does not require more than a few minutes.
For fleet operators, the offer is built around a long-term lease (LLD) from Mobilize Financial Services with a duration of up to 6 years or 300,000 kilometres.

– The «Mobilize Business Pass» card and the Mobilize Power Solutions application that allows the payment of the recharge from more than 250,000 electrical terminals throughout Europe

– Insurance for the transport of people and all-risk damage that includes on-site repair and towing
Subscription to the offer is done in a few minutes via the web. The driver must provide the documents that justify his professional activity of transporting people and his income to finalize the acceptance of his contract. No administrative procedure is required and the treatment of each demand is simple and fluid.
The provision of the vehicle is done in just a few weeks thanks to a Mobilize Limo stock made up of new and reconditioned vehicles (vehicles already used but fully serviced). Home delivery of the vehicle is available as an option.
