A youth was arrested for attempting to rob a bank in broad daylight in Dindigul by tying up the employees and throwing chilli powder on them.
With the help of the public, the bank manager nabbed the robber and handed him over to the police station.
On investigation, it was revealed that the robber who had come to commit the robbery was Aeel Rahman, a resident of Puchinnayakanpatti area of Dindigul district.
Aeel Raghuman’s confession that he saw the movie ‘Thunivu’ and came to rob a bank like the scenes in it due to frustration in life has caused a shock.
The incident took place at the Indian Overseas Bank on Dindigul Dadikkombu Road.
