One of the popular telecom operators, Bharti Airtel, has increased its minimum recharge price by around 57 percent to Rs 155 with 28 validities in Haryana and Odisha. Airtel has discontinued its minimum recharge plan of Rs 99 and offers 200 MB data and calls at Rs 2.5 paise per second. Now the telco is offering unlimited calls, 1GB data and 300 SMS to Airtel customers in Haryana and Odisha for Rs 155. It is said that the company has decided to offer this project, which has now started on a trial basis, across India.

It has been said that a customer needs to recharge his mobile with a Rs 155 voucher even to avail the SMS service. Airtel has reportedly hiked trial fares in Haryana and Odisha, and the move is believed to pose a major risk to its valuation.
Similarly, already in 2021, Airtel has increased its minimum recharge offer in some cities from Rs.79 to Rs. 99, but this year the telecom company has increased the recharge price based on trial. It is said that if the Rs.155 recharge plan introduced by Airtel does not improve, the company will again implement its Rs.99 recharge plan.
