Hockey Player Tom Craig Arrested for Cocaine Possession at Paris Olympics
Australian hockey player Tom Craig has sparked controversy by participating in the Paris Olympics, not on the hockey field but in a police raid. Craig was arrested on Tuesday (August 6) while attempting to purchase cocaine.
Despite the arrest, Craig was released with a warning and issued no fines or punishments. He later apologized for his actions, expressing regret and taking responsibility for his behavior.
Craig has since left the Olympic Village and is no longer residing in Paris. Australian Olympic Committee head Anna Mears expressed disappointment, stating, “He was such a good person, but made the wrong decision. He should face the consequences of his actions.”
Craig previously won silver at the Tokyo Olympics and has represented Australia in over 100 international hockey matches. However, his participation in the Paris Olympics has ended prematurely.
