The Austrian national team defeated Germany in the final of the mixed team tournament in alpine skiing at the Olympics. The Russian team lost to Italy in the 1/8 finals. The final races ended with a score of 2:2. Austria showed the best time. Her national team was represented by Katarina Truppe, Katarina Linsberger, Johannes Strolz and Stefan Brennsteiner. The bronze was taken by the Norwegian team – it defeated the team from the USA in the best time. The Russian Olympic team dropped to ninth place in the medal standings. She has six gold, 11 silver and 14 bronze medals. The leaders of the medal standings are Norway, Germany and China.
