Avatar The Way of Water Box Office Collection Report Expectations and Reality | Kitach Avatar The Way of Water at the Box Office; And below the predicted collection?

by time news

On December 16, the Brahmanda film Avatar the Way of Water, which was awaited by all movie lovers, hit the theaters. Released in 2009, the first part of this film collected around 3 billion US dollars worldwide. Therefore, fans were expecting a huge collection for Avatar the Way of Water. But the weekend collection reports of the film are somewhat disappointing.

Before the release of the film, trade analysts predicted the weekend collection to be above 500 million US dollars. But Avatar The Way of Water earned only 435 million US dollars at the global box office in three days of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If Avatar The Way Water continues at the current rate, the film’s lifetime collection is likely to be limited to just 1.5 billion US dollars. This is a much lower number than expected. But trade analysts are also predicting that if the Christmas and New Year holidays help, the collection of Avatar The Way of Water will cross 2 billion. The film was released in 52,000 theaters worldwide.

Despite its poor performance at the global box office, Avatar The Way of Water has the best collections in India. The film earned Rs 42 crore on its first day. With this, Avatar the Way of Water has become the second highest grossing Hollywood film on the first day at the Indian box office. Avatar The Way of Water collected Rs 129 crore in the first weekend of its release.

Avatar is getting a collection from India which many leading Indian films released this year could not achieve. However, it is disappointing that Avatar The Way of Water, which was released in 4000 screens, could not cross the first day collection of Rs 53 crores, which was released in just 2800 screens in 2019.
