The Government of the City of Buenos Aires is investing in its creative future, announcing 42 winning projects for the inaugural edition of BA Audiovisual Progress on December 19, 2025. This new economic incentive program aims to bolster the creation and early development of local audiovisual content.
The call for submissions attracted a remarkable 339 projects, underscoring the vibrant creative energy within Buenos Aires’ audiovisual sector and highlighting the crucial need for public policies that support its growth, especially during the initial stages of idea generation.
Each winning project will receive up to 5,000,000 pesos (five million pesos),awarded by a specialized jury evaluating artistic quality,conceptual clarity,and potential for distribution. The program intends to foster narrative innovation, nurture emerging talent, and professionalize the sector from the ground up.
BA Audiovisual Development is specifically designed to provide early-stage support – for creation, writing, and the development of series bibles and pitch decks – for both series and feature films. The overarching goal is to strengthen the local audiovisual industry and increase the visibility of Buenos Aires projects in national and international markets.
